Obituary

Deloris Hunt, our dear mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, and friend, passed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in her home. She was born on September 15, 1952, in Toledo, OH. She was the daughter of Johnnie Mae Walker and Connie Lee Walker, Sr.

She attended and graduated from Jesup W. Scott High School and the University of Toledo. Deloris was a member of AKA Sorority. She retired from Nu Centry Textiles and was the Union Steward for UNITE.

Following her retirement, Deloris remained active in her community and enriching the lives of the ones she loved. Deloris had a "green thumb" and she loved to garden and grow plants. She loved working in her garden. Deloris was an amazing cook! She also loved to sew and create things with her hands.

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie B. Hunt; brothers, Bruce Walker and Connie Lee Walker;Jr.; and sister, Blendia Diane Walker.

Surviving her memory is her mother, Bishop Johnnie Mae Walker; sister, Jawonia Morton; daughter, Rehonna Brooks; and granddaughter, Rias Gillian; and dear friend, Vernon Hornbeak; along with other loved ones, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

To Jawonia and Mother Johnnie Mae:
