Obituary for Denise Marie Wright
Denise Marie Wright, known as “Deni" by her mother, made her transition to be with God on August 5th, 2019. She was born in Toledo Ohio to Alfonso Jr and Roberta Johnson on January 31st 1955.
Denise provided a loving and secure home for her daughters, by cooking, baking, taking trips to the movies that included pizza night, and forcing us to do multiplication timetables. She loved to crochet, play cards, puzzles and mobile games.
Denise was known for her love of music, especially her favorites artist Michael Jackson, where she would dance and make herself the center of attention. Her other favorite past time was talking on the phone with family and friends which gave her the greatest joy and always ended with her saying I love You.
Denise was preceded in death by her husband - Darius Wright; mother - Roberta Johnson; grandchild - Ny’Air Nix; Brother - Tyrone Johnson and sister - Wanda Williams-Johnson.
Surviving are her daughters - La’Wanda Wright, and Alicia Wright; grandchildren - Tremain Scott, Da’Leon Scott and Nevaeh Polk; Father - Alfonso Johnson Jr; sisters - Debra Johnson, Christine Shumpert (Renarda Shumpert), Karen Johnson; brothers - Kevin (Myrtle) Johnson, Philip (Patricia) Johnson, and Steven (Lashay) Johnson of Stockbridge GA: favorite aunt - Loretta Hopings-Levesque; companion – Kenneth Wright, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 2:00pm, preceded by a 1:00pm Wake, at The House of Day Funeral Service.
