Latachia Ann Williams, better known as "Big T" or "Ms. Law" to her family, was called home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2019.

Latachia was born on January 7, 1963, to George W. Carter and Earline Williams.

Latachia attended Riverside School and was a 1982 graduate of Woodward High School. She confessed her life to Christ in 1975, at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. She took classes at Stautzenberger College while working at McDonald's. She held down several jobs including Honey Bake Ham, a position as a cake decorator at Kroger until she secured a job with the City of Toledo in Parks & Recreation, where she remained for 15 years, until she was forced to go on disability. In 2015, Latachia rejoined Indiana Baptist, where she became a member of the Nurses Guild and the Hattie Myers Guild. She remained active until her untimely death.

Latachia had a great passion for baking, decorating and dancing. We could all count on her for baking something delicious for her family. She was also famous for her great mac & cheese and her cheesecakes. She loved filling her family's bellies with sweet treats. It gave her a great sense of joy for us to argue over her cheesecakes.

She was a big kid at heart. She loved her nieces and nephews, and she knew how to make them laugh and get rowdy. She will surely be missed.

Latachia is preceded in her passing, by her father, George W. Carter; mother, Earline Williams; her brothers, Tony Carter, Ronnie Williams, Michael Williams, and Theotis Williams; one sister, Olivia Barker.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughter, Elyshia McCreary; godsons, Ron and Romeo Biles; sisters, Yvonne Steele, Sonja (John) Carter Haynes, Eva (Ron) Dorsey Kirby; one brother, Wayne Carter; god sister, Hattie King; and a host of nieces, nephew; special and very close friends, Sherrie (Kenny) Johnson, Kineish Johnson, Kaliah Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Jr., and Antoneio Johnson.
