Obituary for Linda Leon Henderson

Linda Leon Henderson always a devoted mother and loving grandmother transitioned peacefully on Friday September 27. Born on March 2, 1950 in Gadsden, Alabama to Mary Rawls Holewinski and Tom Henderson both preceding her in death.

Linda at the age of 19 moved to Toledo, Ohio with her mother. She enjoy her relationship with her parents until their passing and her step-dad Thomas Holewinski who also preceded her in death.

Linda worked for many years for Campbell Soup Company until she retired. Upon retiring she decided to reenter the work force and work for Toledo’s famous Stanley’s Restaurant until the late 90’s.

She was the proud mother of 2 Daughters Yvonne Leona Michelle and Miesha Lynn Henderson (Miesha preceding her in death).

Through her struggles and disability, she enjoyed life. She loved talking to her lifelong friends (Sue, Nora and Tammy) daily. Her other joys and passions shopping, bingo, walks in the park, fellowshipping over food and most of all cooking.

She leave to cherish her loving memory, her daughter Yvonne (Robert, Sr.) Thompson; grandson Robert Jay Thompson, Jr.; brother, Jeremiah Riley; great grand-daughters Essence Alexandria Renee Harris and Lyric Anastasia Thompson; special family Denise Jones (1st Cousin), Tameka Jones, Brian, Tevin Jones, Tyler, Jones, Cortney Voorhees, Christine Riley, Connie Romer.
