The Obituary of Linda Johnson

Linda Johnson passed away on July 17, 2019, at Ebeid Hospice Residence after a long battle against cancer. Linda was diagnosed with cancer the summer of 2015. She fought long and hard, but the Lord took her pain away and put her soul to rest. Linda was born to Hubert Johnson Sr, and the late Jean Johnson in Toledo, Ohio on May 27, 1960.

In Linda’s earlier days she attended cosmetology school and worked at St. V’s. She loved listening to Michael Jackson, playing the guitar, the trumpet, tap dancing, drawing and making art and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed for her happy spirit, adventurous personality, as well as her deep love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish in memory the love of her life, Ervin Davis, two daughters Terika Roy and Shannon Johnson and son Ramon Johnson, sister Shirley Duncan, two brothers Derrick and Hubert Johnson Jr, special nieces Davida Jackson, Saundra Holmes, and Geneva Duncan, nephew William Duncan and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

“Honor her for all that her hands have done and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
⁃ Proverbs 31:31

For Our Sweet Mama

Your love for your children, grandchildren, family and friends was truly one of a kind. All it took was one call and you were there. We will never be able to forget the memories that you went above and beyond to create, and your passion to love, protect, and provide for us will never slip our minds. We will never understand how a strong beautiful woman such as yourself will never physically bless this earth with your presence, but we find comfort in knowing your kind soul is finally at rest. We love you Mom, and if we stay half as strong you were here on this earth, then nothing or no one will stop us from making you proud.

Love always,
Ramon
