Obituary

Ollie Lena Nolen-Dale, 83, finished her earthly journey and boarded the train for glory on Monday, July 15th, 2019 at University of Toledo medical center surrounded by her loving family. Ollie was born April 9, 1936 to Samuel Hearn and Nannie B Worthy-Hearn in Holcomb, Mississippi. Also in Mississippi, she dedicated her life to Christ at an Early age at Swain Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Ollie moved to Toledo, Ohio with her late husband Porter Nolen Sr, and daughter Ollie Mae in 1957. She started a career as a nurse and was dedicated to caring for her oldest daughter Ollie Mae.

After relocating, she became a proud member of New Light Baptist church. She proudly served as president of the choir, Pastor’s Aid Committee, and a member of the Mother’s Board. In 1993, she married her second late husband Nesby Dale, combining their two families.

Ollie possessed a beautiful spirit and never met a stranger. All that knew her, loved her, because of the unconditional love and support she gave to everyone . She had a passion for shopping, beautiful dress suits, and absolutely loved a good pocketbook. She was proceeded in death by her parents, mother Nannie B Worthy- Hearn, father Samuel Hearn , husbands Porter Nolen Sr and Nesby Dale, daughter Ollie Mae Nolen, step daughter Joyce Pitts, son Porter Nolen jr, step son Donald Dale, brothers George and Billy Hearn.
