Mrs. Ruby Lawhorn, age 69, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away, July 14, 2019. Ruby was born on April 8, 1950, to the union of the late Walter and Sarah Lloyd.

Ruby confessed her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. Ruby attended Jesup W. Scott High School. She retired from E.O.P.A. Head Start. Ruby enjoyed going to the Senior Center, shopping (her favorite store was Walmart), going to rummage sales, taking trips and being around family and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sarah Lloyd; sister, Hazel Lloyd; brother, Robert Lloyd; grandparents, Walter Lloyd, Sr., Leola Latson, and Square and Fannie Williams.

Ruby leaves to cherish her memory, son, Robert Lawhorn, Sr.; daughters, Shantelle Lawhorn and Tyra Lawrence; brother, Walter (Lahkesha Holmes) Lloyd; stepdaughters, Felicia and Tonya Howard; stepson, Joseph Smith; grandchildren, DeMarcus Lawhorn, Tiana Lawhorn, Robert Lawhorn, Jr., Robbie Howard, Royce Lawhorn, Tyrelle Lawrence, Anthony Anderson, Kai Smith, Dwight Kenney, Michael Kincade, Tyshella Lawrence, Ashiana Walls, Marcellus, Bobbi and Lena Hunt; 18 great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Bobby Howard, Audrey Hickman, Bobbie P. Davis, Jada Farthing, Brandy Gaston and Catera Watkins; special cousins, Linda Williams, Marie Gillespie and Beverly Gillespie.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 11:00 AM, preceded by a 10:00 AM Wake, at The House of Day Funeral Service.
