Obituary

Timothy Ray Harris departed this life to be with the Lord on September 25, 2019, in the presence of his family.

He was born in Toledo, OH to the late Perry and Leotha Harris on October 18, 1963.

He was a 1982 graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School, where he enjoyed football and basketball.

He was employed by the Flower Hospital.

Timothy was reared in a Christian Family, accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age at Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. T.J. Wiggins. He sang in the choir, was a junior usher, attended Sunday School, and a faithful member of the church. He later joined the Canaan Manifested Word Church under the leadership of Bishop Randall Parker III. During his illness, he joined the United Vision Baptist Church where his nephew, Rev. Perry Harris III serves as Pastor.

He was loved by many and enjoyed his family. He truly enjoyed to laugh and have a good time with his family.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Leotha Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Shasta (Mickey) Owens of North Carolina; son, Timothy Harris Jr.; sisters, Rose (Robert) Young, Dorothy (Abraham) Edwards, Linda (Bruce) Ellis, Sheila Mosby, Beverly Edwards; Godsister, Angela Oliver; brothers, Perry (Rhonda) Harris Jr., Melvin (Reba) Harris, Ernest (Rose) Harris of Louisiana, Gregory Harris, James (MaJean) Harris, Terry (Trina) Harris; three grandchildren, Theodore Harris, Shawn LaMar Cunnigham, Justice Lamer Cunningham; and a host of relatives and friends.

Special Thanks: Bruce Ellis, the Kirk family, Rhonda Allen, Mattie Brock, Daisy McNeal, Toledo Hospital ICU & ER, and the House of Day Funeral Service.

At this sorrowful period in your life, please accept my sincerest condolences for the death of your loved one.  Reflecting on the divine promises found in the Bible will give you hope and strength to keep going until all of God's promises are fulfilled. (Romans 15:13; John 5:28, 29).

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". May Jesus our God of comfort in the flesh richly bless you all as you remember and celebrate Timothy's life legacy. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Juanita
