Obituary for Timothy Ray Harris

Timothy Ray Harris departed this life to be with the Lord on September 25, 2019, in the presence of his family.

He was born in Toledo, OH to the late Perry and Leotha Harris on October 18, 1963.

He was a 1982 graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School, where he enjoyed football and basketball.

He was employed by the Flower Hospital.

Timothy was reared in a Christian Family, accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age at Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. T.J. Wiggins. He sang in the choir, was a junior usher, attended Sunday School, and a faithful member of the church. He later joined the Canaan Manifested Word Church under the leadership of Bishop Randall Parker III. During his illness, he joined the United Vision Baptist Church where his nephew, Rev. Perry Harris III serves as Pastor.

He was loved by many and enjoyed his family. He truly enjoyed to laugh and have a good time with his family.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Leotha Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Shasta (Mickey) Owens of North Carolina; son, Timothy Harris Jr.; sisters, Rose (Robert) Young, Dorothy (Abraham) Edwards, Linda (Bruce) Ellis, Sheila Mosby, Beverly Edwards; Godsister, Angela Oliver; brothers, Perry (Rhonda) Harris Jr., Melvin (Reba) Harris, Ernest (Rose) Harris of Louisiana, Gregory Harris, James (MaJean) Harris, Terry (Trina) Harris; three grandchildren, Theodore Harris, Shawn LaMar Cunnigham, Justice Lamer Cunningham; and a host of relatives and friends.
